I was in terrible financial shape before joining WUP Kenya. My money had been depleted by expenses of medication and medical fees as a result of my prolonged illness. I was having trouble making ends meet and had no idea how to get my finances under control.

My daughter recommended WUP Kenya after learning about my difficulties. She praised the institution, emphasizing the KES 20,000 first loan and the possibility of applying for loans up to four times one’s savings. I joined WUP Kenya because of her recommendation and the encouraging financial support.

Access to WUP Kenya’s services had a profound impact on my personal finances and business. After five months of membership, I was able to apply for and receive a loan. As a chicken rearer, I was in dire need of funds to purchase chicken feeds. The loan provided the much-needed financial boost to sustain and grow my business.

A significant change in my life since joining WUP Kenya was the expansion of my chicken rearing business. Initially, I reared only a few kienyenji chickens. However, with the loan from WUP Kenya, I managed to procure an additional 300 chickens. This expansion not only increased my production capacity but also improved my income and financial stability.

Interestingly, I have not encountered any challenges while using WUP Kenya’s services. The process has been smooth and supportive, allowing me to focus on growing my business without any hindrances.

My involvement with WUP Kenya has positively affected both my family and community. For my family, the additional chickens I bought for rearing and selling have led to increased sales and a bigger profit margin. In the community, my neighbor, who is also a WUP Kenya member, has experienced similar success. She initially reared 200 broiler chickens, but after receiving a loan from WUP Kenya, she increased her stock to 300 chickens. Her passion for WUP Kenya is evident, and she is also a testament to the organization’s positive impact.

Being a member of WUP Kenya has also equipped me with valuable skills and knowledge. I have learned the importance of being part of a strong group that issues loans promptly. This experience has given me the confidence to start and manage another business in the near future.

Looking ahead, I feel optimistic about my future. “Ndirona ruciu rwakwa rwi rwega” (I feel I have a promising future). I am planning to undertake another project, specifically constructing a good house within the next two to three years. This sense of hope and ambition is a direct result of the support and opportunities provided by WUP Kenya.

To anyone considering joining WUP Kenya, I would strongly encourage them to do so. I have already spoken to two individuals about the advantages of WUP Kenya, and I hope they will decide to join. The organization offers a lifeline to those in need, providing financial support and fostering a sense of community and growth.

The institution has already exceeded my expectations, and I am grateful for the positive changes it has brought to my life.
